“Love Alaska 365” was birthed out of an encounter Dr. Andrew Kirya had with the Lord many years ago while ministering in the village of Minto in Alaska. Prior to the encounter, Dr. Andrew had been seeking the Lord for what he would have him share with the people of Minto village. Out of the encounter, the Lord gave Dr. Andrew a message from Jeremiah 29. In this chapter the Lord gave a word to the Israelites that had been taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon by king Nebuchadnezzar. God was telling the Israelites in captivity not to believe false prophets who were prophesying to them falsely using the Name of the Lord about their captivity in Babylon. Jeremiah 29: 4-14, says, “Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all who were carried away captive, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit. Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may bear sons and daughters—that you may be increased there and not diminished. And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace, you will have peace. For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the LORD. For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you and cause you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.” The message God was giving the people of the village in Minto was from Jeremiah 29:7 which says, “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.” The Lord was telling the people of the village of Minto to Love Minto, pray for Minto, pray for the people in Minto; the children, the youths, the women, the men and the elderly, that they should speak God’s promises and prophesy over the land, the air, the animals, the water and all creation in Minto. The Lord was saying that many people in Minto just want to get out of there, they want to move to other places. That some want to leave because of hurtful memories, etc. The Lord was saying they should love Minto and pray for Minto. The Lord was saying that as they Love Minto, He would restore, heal, and bless them in the land. Dr. Andrew Kirya shared the message that evening in the church service in Minto village and God moved by His spirit amongst the people. It was out of “Love Minto” that “Love Alaska 365” came about. Love Alaska 365 is to love Alaska every day, 365 days a year.  It is love on its knees, praying and making intercession for all Alaskans; the children, youths, men, women, and the elderly, praying that God’s kingdom come, and His will be done in their lives. It is praying for God’s continual blessing on the land of Alaska and its resources so it can benefit all Alaskans. Love Alaska 365 is reaching out to every Alaskan with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and disciple those who believe. Love Alaska 365 is to be God’s extended hand of love to practically help Alaskans who are in need. Love Alaska 365 is advocacy for the voiceless of Alaska. Love Alaska 365 is uniting and networking with all churches, ministries, ministers and all people everywhere to Love Alaska 365.
